Day 01 - Arrival in Yangon and Sightseeing
Morning Program:Our guide welcomes you at the airport and offers a small welcome gift. After that, transfer to your hotel in the car or minibus. After checking in and a short break you start for adiscovery tour in Yangon in the early afternoon.Afternoon Program:In the early afternoon, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the city center. First you visit the more than 2000 years old and 45m high Sule Pagoda, in the Anglo-Burmese style, the City Hall and the Mahabandoola Park with it's Independence Monument. After this, you take a short walk to Pansodan jetty. Continue with the Bo Ta Htaung Pagoda, which means as much as 1,000 officers. The pagoda was built by the Mon and is about the same age as the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. It houses a hair relic of the Buddha. By car you drive to Kyauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, with over 70m houses the longest reclining Buddha statue in the world. As a final highlight of the day you finally visit the over 2500 year old Shwe Dagon Pagoda. It is the symbol of the country par excellence and one of the most famous stupas in the world. Day 03 - Bagan - Sightseeing
Morning Program:After breakfast proceed for a half day tour of Old Bagan. Start the tour at Tharabar Gate, which translates to "The gate that protects us from the arrows of the enemy" is. In the 9th Century the citiy was secured by King Pyin Pyar Min. Overall, there were once 12 gates, but only one survived, the Tharabar Gate. Only a few meters away, you reach the Golden Palace. The Palace is a reconstruction. The original, wooden palace did not survive the ages. From 11-13th Century it served as a center of Buddhism. After a short horse cart ride takes you to the Maha Bodhi Temple, which was built by king Zeya Thein Kha in 1215. The temple is inspired by the Maha Bodhi Temple in Bodhagaya, India. The original top of the stupa was destroyed by earthquakes. Next stop on our tour is the Bu Pagoda from the 9th Century, lying directly on the banks of the Ayarwaddy. The cylindrical shaped in Pyu style pagoda is one of the oldest in Bagan. During the great earthquake in 1975, the pagoda collapsed completely in the Ayarwaddy, but was later rebuilt. The That Byin Nyu Temple is located not far away from the Bu Pagoda. The temple is 65m height with the tallest structure in Bagan. His name means "omniscience" which received Buddha during his enlightenment. Last stop on our morning's tour is the Shwe Gu Gyi Pagoda. It is located north of the fact byin Nyu temple and is also called Nan U Pagoda, because it is at the front of the palace.Afternoon Program:After lunch you have the opportunity to relax at the hotel pool. In the late afternoon we will pick you up to take aboat ride on the Ayarwaddy to enjoy the spectacular sunset on the river. Overnight in: Bagan -
Day 04 - Bagan - Transfer to Mandalay & Sightseeing
Morning Program:Morning flight to Mandalay. Our guide welcomes you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.Afternoon Program:Once you have moved into your room, you drive to the Maha Muni Pagoda, situated in the south of the city. The pagoda houses the most important Buddha statue from Myanmar. She is 3,80 m tall and is constantly glued with gold leafs by the devotees, so you can hardly recognize its real shape. Near the Maha Muni Pagoda are some interesting stone sculptures. Here are primarily produced religious statues. Visit one of the workshops and can see the manufacturing process. By car, it goes on to a gold leaf manufacturing workshop. Buddhist devotees buy gold leaf to apply it on Buddha images in order to obtain (for the next life) as merits. The visit of the local workshop provides an interesting variety from the typical tourist offers, albeit small insight into the local culture. The last stop of today's tour is the Mandalay Hill Pagoda, the pagoda of wish fulfillment. The pagoda is situated on a 236m high hill, from whose terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city. Day 05 - Sagaing - Inwa - Amarapura
Morning Program:Away from the big busy city Mandalay, are the three ancient capitals of the Kingdom of Bagan – Sagaing, Amarapura and Inwa. In the today’s day trip you will explore these three cities. After a 20-minute drive from Mandalay, you reach Sagaing the old capital, which was twice the capital of the Kingdom of Bagan, the first time from 1360 until 1364 and the second time from 1760 till 1764. One of the most beautiful pagodas is the U Sun Ponya Shin Pagoda, which was built in 1312. You have an excellent view of the hills and the Ayarwaddy from the pagoda. The next stop on the tour is the U Min Thonze Pagoda, which means translated as "30 caves pagoda". By car you can reach the famous Kaung Hmu Daw Pagoda. It was completed in 1648 after 12 years of construction.Afternoon Program:After lunch you will reach Inwa, the ancient Ava. It was from 14-19th Century capital of Burmese kingdoms. The city was destroyed and rebuilt several times, but a series of earthquakes in the 19th Century ultimately resulted in to the fact that the city was finally abandoned. After you have set the ferry across the Ayarwaddy, explore the sights of Inwa by horse cart. These include the Bagaya Monastery which was built in 1834 and consists completely of teak wood, the Maha Aung Mye Bon San Monastery, the Watch Tower and the Yadana Hsemee Pagoda. Afterwards drive to Amarapura with its beautiful Taungthaman lake with its famous U Bein Bridge. Amarapura located 11 km south of Mandalay and means something like "City of Immortality". The U Bein bridge has a length of 1.2 km and is over 200 years old. The sunset at U Bein Bridge is the crowning glory of your tour today.Overnight in: Mandalay -
Day 06 - Mandalay - Transfer to Pindaya and Inle Lake
Morning Program:In the morning drive to the airport and fly to Heho near Inle Lake. Our guide welcomes you at the airport and drive with you to Pindaya. It is a peaceful little town with a rural character. The city was made famous by the surrounding caves. Its residents mostly belong to the tribe of Danu.Afternoon Program:On the way you make a stop to eat lunch. Then drive to the Pindaya Caves. Over time, the caves developed to a Buddhist shrine. For tourists is only the Shwe U Min Pagoda accessible. There are countless statues of Buddha (about 8000) within the sacred cave complex. During the tour you will also find small rooms, in which you get only crawl. Very unusual are the stalagmites of the cave, which produce at a blow with a wooden stick sounds of a gong. To get to the entrance of the cave, you can either use the covered staircase or you use the elevator. Following the cave tour, you drive to Nyaung Shwe at Inle Lake and check in to your hotel.Overnight in: Inle Lake -
Day 07 - Inle Lake - Sightseeing
Morning Program:Today you will take a day trip on Inle Lake. With 116 km2 it is the second largest lake in Myanmar. During the dry season, its average depth is about 2 m, during the rainy season, the water level is 1.5 m higher. Around and on the lake there are about 60 villages, specializing in the production of agricultural goods. The first objective of your current tour is located on the western shore of Lake Village Kaung Daing. There is a land-bound market, which alternately in the villages Kaung Daing, maing Thauk, Nampan, Inthein and Than Taung takes place and attracts many locals from the region. After the visit of the market it goes by boat to Inn Thein Pagoda. The pagoda is a holy site in the south-western lake area. You drive about 40 minutes to the Nam Pilu river. From there, walk to the pagoda. The complex consists of 1054 stupas. After the visit you eat lunch.Afternoon Program:After lunch it goes by boat to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the most important religious sites in southern Shan area. The pagoda houses five small statues of Buddha and his disciples, however, were pasted over beyond recognition with gold leafs. It is incidentally allowed only men to apply the gold leafs. After it you go to several villages that are on all the lake. In the village Inn Paw Kone you can visit a weaving and a forge. In the village of Nam Pan watch the manufacturing process of Cheeroots. In the village Ywama you visit the silversmiths workshop. On the way back home you get the opportunity to visit the floating gardens with tomato plants. After the interesting explorations of the day you go back to the hotel and enjoy the sunset on the way.Overnight in: Inle Lake -
Day 08 - Inle Lake - Transfer to Yangon - Sightseeing
Morning Program:Morning flight back to Yangon.Afternoon Program:In the afternoon you will visit two interesting sites, the Kaba Aye Pagoda and the Maha Pasana Guha cave. Both were erected by Prime Minister U Nu in 1952 in preparation for the sixth Buddhist Synod. The Synod lot together with the 2.500th anniversary of the Buddha's enlightenment. In the immediate vicinity is the Maha Pasana Guha cave. This artificial cave measures 113m x 139m. It can accommodate up to 10,000 people and was built in only 14 months. Up till now, the large cave is used for religious ceremonies in Yangon. Last attraction of the day is the Myanmar Gems Museum. The four-story building is located near the Kaba Aye Pagoda. Here are exhibited the most famous gemstones of Myanmar, such as rubies, sapphires, jade and pearls. In the first two floors of the house, the gems Mart, you have the opportunity to purchase gemstones and jewels.Overnight in: not applicable

The overall conclusion is, in our view, to travel with all the details of your agency was very well prepared and also the on-site process left little to be desired. Two small points in the preparation and conduct could be improved:- The hotel order and confirmation was a little nerve-racking, by the final confirmation of the relevant hotel although ultimately worked without exception, the process but very long lasted.
