    Description: On this 9-days tour, you learn not only the most famous pagodas in Myanmar to know, but also the beautiful landscape in which they are located. By car explore the sights of Bago and visit the fascinating Golden Rock Pagoda, located (3,600 ft) at a height of 1,100 meters on the hill Kyaiktiyo. The small pagoda has a height of 7.3 meters (24 ft)), built on top of a granite rock which is pasted by the faithfuls all over with gold leafs. Enjoy the magnificent views and an unforgettable sunrise and sunset. The journey takes you to Hpa-An. Hpa-An, the capital of Kayin State. It is a small but busy town. On market days, the farmers come with fully-laden horse-drawn carriages and rickshaws in the city for selling their goods on the market. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the over 1,000 high Zwegabyin hill whose unique shape you will never forget. You will also see Mawlamyaing, the capital of the Mon State. It is located on the Salween River Delta, embraced with the blue sea and hills dotted with ancient pagodas. Enjoy this unique tour, even if you're only a week in Myanmar.

    • Day 01 - Arrival in Yangon and Sightseeing

      Morning Program:
      Our guide welcomes you at the airport and offers a small welcome gift. After that, transfer to your hotel in the car or minibus. After checking in and a short break you start for adiscovery tour in Yangon in the early afternoon.
      Afternoon Program:
      In the early afternoon, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the city center. First you visit the more than 2000 years old and 45m high Sule Pagoda, in the Anglo-Burmese style, the City Hall and the Mahabandoola Park with it's Independence Monument. After this, you take a short walk to Pansodan jetty. Continue with the Bo Ta Htaung Pagoda, which means as much as 1,000 officers. The pagoda was built by the Mon and is about the same age as the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. It houses a hair relic of the Buddha. By car you drive to Kyauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, with over 70m houses the longest reclining Buddha statue in the world. As a final highlight of the day you finally visit the over 2500 year old Shwe Dagon Pagoda. It is the symbol of the country par excellence and one of the most famous stupas in the world. Let the pagoda work on you. Experience the illuminated Pagoda at night.

    • Day 02 - Kyaikthiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock)

      Morning Program:
      Today we will go on a cross-country trip to Kyaikthiyo. After a two hours drive from Yangon you will arrive in Bago which is 85 km away from Yangon. The first attraction that you explore today is the Kyaik Pun Pagoda. It was built in 1476 by King Dhammazedi and consists of 4 giant 30 meter high Buddha images that look to the 4 main directions. The portraits represent Gautama Buddha (north side), Konagamana (south), Kakusandha (East) and Kassapa (west). Here you will visit the Kyat That Wine Monastery and participate in the food sacrificing ceremony. Buddhist monks are only allowed to eat until noon. The monastery is one of the biggest monasteries in Myanmar. Here are over 2.000 monks studying.
      Afternoon Program:
      After lunch continue to Kinpun Sakan, at the foot of the Golden Rock, located 110 km east of Bago. Once in Kinpun Sakan, you will board a local transport (truck) to reach the middle station (Rathedaung). From there you can either walk or using a litter (to be paid locally) up to the Golden Rock. This is also your hotel. After check in you climb up to the pagoda. The difficulty of the ascent is rewarded with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside and the views of the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda.

    • Day 03 - Kyaikthiyo - Mawlamyaing & Surroundings

      Morning Program:
      After breakfast you will be transferred back to Kinmun Sakan where you change the vehicles. Then we continue to Thaton, the former capital of the Mon kingdom.
      Afternoon Program:
      On the way to Hpa-An, lies the remarkable Bayin Nyi Limestone Cave with its hot springs and the Kaw Gone Cave with its artworks from the 7th Century. Shortly before Hpa-An, you will make a stop at the Ya Thei Byan Cave, on the shores of Thanlwin. Shortly afterwards you reach Hpa-An, the capital of Kayin State. Thereafter you will go to Mawlamyaing.

    • Day 04 - Mawlamyaing Surroundings and Hpa-An

      Morning Program:
      After breakfast our boat driver pick you up from your Hotel for visiting the villages of Gaung Say Kyun and U Na Auk.
      Afternoon Program:
      Thereafter you discover the Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda and Hpa-An market. By car, it goes on to interesting Kyauk Kalat, Mt. Zwegabin and Saddan Cave. After visiting sadden cave go back to the boat and return to Mawlamyaing. You can fully enjoy the sunset on the boat.

    • Day 05 - Mawlamyaing Sightseeing

      Morning Program:
      After breakfast you will visit the Mawlamyaing Market. Dive into the hustle and bustle of the market. Having seen the market drive to the Pha Auk Taw Ya Monastery (meditation center). Thereafter you will eat lunch.
      Afternoon Program:
      After Lunch you will visit the Kyaik Mayaw Pagoda. It houses a seated Buddha statue. The pagoda was built by Queen Shin Saw Pu in 1455 in late Mon style. The Mon Cultural Museum is also one of the place to see in Mawlamyaing. In the late afternoon you take a look at the Kyaik Than Lan Pagoda. From the pagoda, you have a beautiful view of the city and watch the sunset.

    • Day 06 - Mudon - Kyaikkami - Set-Se Beach

      Morning Program:
      First stop of your tour today is Mudon, 15 km away from Mawlamyaing. Near the town you can discover Zina Thukha Yan Aung Chanther Pagoda, a huge statue of a Reclining Buddha. The journey continues towards Thanbyuzayat. Here is the cemetry of the prisoners who died during the building of the infamous Burma-Siam railway. After the visit drive to Kyaikkami, former Amherst, about 48 km in the south of Mawlamyaing. Built directly on the sea Kyaikkami Ye Le Pagoda is a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists.
      Afternoon Program:
      In the afternoon drive to the Set-Se Beach, 24 km away from Kyaikkami. Here you can relax a little and enjoy the sea. The brown sand beach is reminiscent to the Wadden Sea. Dealers sell here fresh young coconuts and restaurants serve seafood.

    • Day 07 - Set Se Beach

      Morning Program:
      After the busy sightseeing tours of the past few days you use this day to relax on the beach. Go swimming in the warm sea, or take a walk on the beach.
      Afternoon Program:
      Leisure at Set Se Beach.
      Overnight in: Set Se Beach
    • Day 08 - Set-Se Beach - Transfer to Yangon

      Morning Program:
      After breakfast, drive back to Yangon. Along the way you will have the opportunity to visit a pottery workshop.
      Afternoon Program:
      Return journey to Yangon.

    • Day 09 - Yangon Sightseeing & Departure

      Morning Program:
      The last attraction of the tour is the Bogyoke Aung San Market, formerly Scott Market. The market opened in 1926, is a major tourist attraction. Its offer includes antiques, crafts, countless jewelers to art galleries, restaurants and clothing stores. Here ends your tour and you will be taken to the airport where our tour guide will bid you farewell.
